Growing Willows from Cuttings

With warm weather, blue skies, and spring rapidly approaching The Restoration Trust hosted a willow planting workshop at the Lafayette arundo restoration sites.

The workshop provided an overview of willow history and ecology and gave the attendees hands-on experience cutting, preparing, and planting willow stakes. After attending the workshop the attendees had the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully plant willow stakes on their restoration sites.

The Trust looks forward to providing future workshops to help broaden and enhance the skills of local restoration enthusiasts. Please check out our Events page to learn about upcoming events and workshops.
